The international fruit and vegetable industry event organized annually by Cesena Fiera SpA prepares for the 2014 edition, bolstered by the strong growth that it registered last year: 24,800 certified visitors, an increase of 15%, and 820 exhibitors from 35 countries, up 2%.

Important too - Domenico Scarpellini, President of Cesena Fiera underlines on this count - the strategic choices that have identified the Mediterranean basin and the Balkans as important outlet areas for Italian fruit and vegetable production. According to Istat data reported by the organizers, in fact, in the last ten years, exports of Italian industry towards the countries of the African Mediterranean have grown steadily, to the point of having increased tenfold and that now outstrip imports to Italy.
Its focus on business, as well as on technological innovation, is hence a distinctive element of the Cesena based event that, last year also organized more than 480 B2B meetings between exhibitors and foreign delegations. Among the other important initiatives, the intense conference program (23 undertakings in 2013, which involved over 3,000 participants) and the Macfrut technology Oscar.
