International Conference Food Contact Compliance, 24-26 September

From the 24th to the 26th September, at Baveno (Lake Maggiore) the Istituto Italiano Imballaggio will be organizing an international conference on food contact.

During the event, leading experts from different countries will update on the state of the art of R&D, new applications and progress of legislation on materials.

The conference agenda is divided into a first day of the workshop, in which the procedures for the authorization of substances at European and global level, along with two databases useful to know the legal situation, migration data, data on the toxicity of the substances used in the various contact materials.

The subsequent two days will in turn be dedicated to: the evolution of  legislation in Europe and the world; "hot topics"; new approaches of the EFSA on risk assessment and collaboration with the Member States; differences with the FDA; the new Resolution of the Council of Europe on metals.
