IPACK-IMA looks ahead to 2022

New dates have been set for IPACK-IMA, which will now be held in the Fiera Milano exhibition centre from 3 to 6 May 2022, while MEAT-TECH will run from 17 to 20 May 2021 in conjunction with TuttoFood.

The Innovation Alliance is changing its formula, but the supply chain project remains in place thanks to dedicated cross-cutting events that will be held over the next two years.

To meet the needs of an industry that has certainly been less affected than others by the health emergency but which nonetheless requires high-level international meetings, IPACK-IMA is being rescheduled and will now be held from 3 to 6 May 2022

The current international scenario has prompted us to take strategic decisions that reflect the needs of our customers, offering them the opportunity to meet in Milan in an exclusive context that fulfils their requirements and allows them to do business with all the world’s leading players in the industry,” said Valerio Soli, Chairman of Ipack Ima srl.

“The decision to reschedule IPACK-IMA was not an easy one, but after careful consideration and in-depth analysis we decided to give precedence to the needs of our exhibitors and visitors, who are currently dealing with a very difficult situation that is likely to persist for many months to come,” added Rossano Bozzi, CEO of Ipack Ima srl.

MEAT-TECH, the Ipack Ima exhibition specialising in solutions for the meat-based products and ready meals industry, has also been rescheduled and will take place concurrently with TuttoFood from 17 to 20 May 2021. The decision to hold the event at the same time as the international food fair (3,079 exhibitors and 82,551 visitors at the last edition) lays the foundations for a unique food supply chain project at a European level and opens up new opportunities and potential synergies.

The Innovation Alliance is renewed

Rethinking the new exhibition project in a strategic and business-friendly way while avoiding clashes with other events also required reorganising the other three shows which together with Ipack Ima and Meat-Tech make up The Innovation Alliance. PLAST will maintain its original dates and will be held from 4 to 7 May 2021, while PRINT4ALL and INTRALOGISTICA ITALIA will be moved to 3-6 May 2022 and held concurrently with Ipack-Ima.

This decision aims to help companies in their investment choices but does not undermine the value of the synergy between these events, which together showcase the very best of industrial engineering brought together in a virtual supply chain.

So although the dates of the individual shows in The Innovation Alliance are changing, the desire to work synergistically and maintain the rationale behind the initiative remains undiminished. The five shows will continue to view communication between different sectors as a valuable resource for companies, so once the dates of each event have been finalised, the organisers will set to work to create cross-cutting initiatives that will support exhibitors until the individual appointments are once again held concurrently.
