SIAB Techno - Bake Exhibition

SIAB (organized by VeronaFiere and the Federation of Italian Bakers) is the most important Italian baking event and one of Europe’s major fairs in the sector, and this year the triennial event will be held in Verona from the 25th to the 29th of May.
Dedicated to technologies, raw materials and semi-processed goods for the production of bread, pastries, pizza and pasta, but also the technologies and issues of packaging for these areas, the fair is being held for the tenth time with a new, enriched format that is even more complete and specialized.
Once again proving its vocation for the food-processing sector, VeronaFiere intends to offer not only a complete panorama of technologies, but also a series of answers on the state of the market and recommendations for how to successfully face it in a time of profound economic changes.
The next SIAB places from the outset particular emphasis on what will be key ingredients in 2013: above all, a marked promotion of internationalization (supported by a world tour that will bring the Veronese event to the major cities of the globe), an expansion of the product sectors included to round out SIAB’s more traditional offer and stepped up investment in those sectors that have always made the event one of baking’s most important.
From the factory to the artisan’s workshop. The 2010 edition of SIAB closed its door with over 40 thousand visitors of which close on 20% from abroad from 90 countries. Exhibitors are over the 400 mark, 15% of which from 11 foreign countries, covering a total floorspace of 30 thousand square metres. Thirty foreign delegations attended the show, in particular coming from the Middle East, Latin America and eastern Europe and who registered around 1200 encounters with professional operators present in the trade fair quarters. SIAB provides a space for solutions to the problems of all sectors, both thanks to the wide variety of product sectors represented, which, again, will cover categories that cut across the show’s areas, and thanks to the makeup of the concerns showing, from builders of large industrial installations to solutions for small units. Particular interest will also be paid to technologies and services for the packaging, preservation, transport and distribution of grain-based food products, with special attention to the new demands of economic and environmental sustainability, the need for appropriate traceability and labeling of food products and the need to value visual merchandising in POPs, business-sustaining marketing strategies and new trends. The organizers’ objective is to confirm the vitality of a sector that is indispensable to Italy’s economy, foster exchanges and networking, create business opportunities and call the attention of the public at large and opinion leaders to such a valued sector as that of baking.
SPECIAL LOW RATES The deadline for entering for taking part at the SIAB International Techno Bake-Exhibition with the application of the special low rate has been shifted to 30th November.
