Dow opens an innovation “hub”

The first Dow Chemical Italian Pack Studio Innovation Center is now up and running at Mozzate (CO). It joins those already running in Switzerland, Brazil, China and the US with the objective of satisfying the specific needs of customers on the subject of packaging, fabric and hygiene and hence stimulating the development of innovative solutions.

To this purpose, the Pack Studio Innovation Center fields the skills, product portfolio and the testing capacities garnered in Dow. As well as that, it acts as a sector aggregator, embodying the principle of “Science that Connects” with the involvement of equipment manufacturers, packaging designers, prototype specialists, resin experts…The centre has a “collaboration room” and equipment for devising materials, production and testing, all of a very high level. An example? The  Super Combi 3000 laminator by Nordmeccanica, that stands as the state of the art in coating and laminating technology, along with the expertise of the Piacenza based multinational.
