Emballage & Manutention 2014

A committee of experts from major multinationals is helping identify the needs of the market and the issues to look at more closely; the offer on show covers the entire processing/packaging/logistics industry, divided according to a rational and straightforward layout with coherent areas and “showcases” dedicated to innovation...

... A calendar of meetings is packed with content, some highlights such as the “Dieline Summit” and the Pack Vision conferences with Italy as the guest of honor (Italy once again dominates the ranking of partner countries, first by exhibitors and second by visitors)...

Emballage & Manutention, the next fair of packaging, processing and printing, handling and logistics, organized by Comexposium in Paris from 17th to 20th of November thus looks promising, and the event is expected to be full (six months from the start, 89% of the exhibition surface had already been sold).

Numbers, topics, projects and plans of the fair were illustrated during a lovely late May event in Milan, organized by Saloni Internazionali Francesi Srl, during which the findings of research carried out by Nomisma on trends of the food processing industry and new styles of consumption were also presented and commented on.

This encounter of well-orchestrated synergy was participated in by the directors of the other French food industry fairs, as well as the promotion agency Promosalons (with 80 international B2B events in its portfolio) and the Paris Region Economic Development Agency (ARD), representing France’s most economically vital region, as well as one of the most important in Europe.
Why such a deployment of forces in Italy? Considering all industrial sectors, Italy represents France’s fourth largest supplier and third largest importer.

Partners in design and culture. The importance of the relationship between Italy and France is shown by the space dedicated to the former even in the cultural arena.  Wednesday the 19th will be a 100% Italian afternoon, featuring conferences dedicated to technology (GSICA and Soc. Coop. Valle del Dittaino), packaging design (with Marco Pietrosante of ADI), to packaging in retail (Largo Consumo) and on the market (Istituto Italiano Imballaggio).

Furthermore, the Politecnico of Milan’s INDACO department (industrial design, arts, communication and fashion) will for the second time participate in the event “Best pack, design by students for virtuous solutions”, in which students will present new designs for packaging solutions and hold live workshops along with 5 other European design schools.

Numbers at Emballage. The 41st edition of Emballage will bring to the exhibition space of Villepinte approximately 1,500 exhibitors (55% international) and another 500 brands represented. The event’s authoritativeness is thanks to a complete and state of the art offer of machinery (45% of the products on show), packaging (36%) and services (19%), and, with Manutention definitively integrated into pavilion 5a, end of line technologies. The predominant outlet sectors are food & beverage (33%) and health and beauty (16%), but 18% of the products on show have applications across sectors (for example labeling).
