Sustainable growth for Food & Beverage.
This is the leitmotif characterising Anuga 2023 by Koelnmesse (Cologne, 7-11 October), a theme which is more topical today than ever given the global challenges we face, such as climate change, scarcity of resources and demographic growth.
The show and related conferences focused on various issues, for example, analysing the way in which economic growth and sustainability on the food industry can be reconciled or, then again, what possible solutions can the food industry adopt regarding environmental and climatic aspects. More than 7,800 exhibitors, coming from 118 countries, and a 94% share of foreign exhibitors, occupied all the 300 thousand square metres available, with a return to pre-pandemic levels.
The Made in Italy presence was significant: with over 1,000 exhibitors, Italy was the most represented foreign country and not only from a quantitative point of view, but naturally also from a qualitative point of view, given that Italian food continues to be among the most appreciated in the world.
The variety of food products in Italy, in fact, from meat to dairy products, to organic food, enabled Italy to be present in all the 10 Anuga Halls. Thanks to the support of Koelnmesse Italia, Italian companies were able to enjoy a privileged platform for trade with the whole world, besides numerous possibilities for updating on highly significant topics.
