Drinktec: the numbers of success

From 11 to 15 September 2017, Munich was the seat of processing, filling and packaging technologies for the beverage & liquid food sector.

With 1,749 exhibitors from 80 countries and over 76,000 visitors hailing from 170 different countries, the fair logged the best results in its 66-year history, results characterized by a high degree of internationalization.This record outcome can be largely attributed to the event’s concurrence with SIMEI, a “show within a show” organized by the Unione Italiana Vini (Italian wines union), dedicated to winemaking and bottling technologies, which for the first time was “hosted” at drinktec.
In light of these numbers, which represent a resounding success, Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer, deputy CEO of Messe München, expressed his great satisfaction: «drinktec has proven to be the most important platform in the beverage & liquid food sector, not only from an innovation standpoint, but also in terms of the investments that it has managed to stimulate, exploiting the advantages of the synergy with SIMEI».
