FachPack: dynamic, crowded and international

Around 45,000 professional visitors from 25 to 27 November went to Nuremberg for FachPack 2018.

Compared to the previous edition, the turnout at the trade fair organized by NürnbergMesse, an increase of 8%, did not betray the forecasts both quantitatively and qualitatively. About 90% of visitors, in fact, enjoyed purchasing decision-making power, half occupied important positions, and 1 in 5 a role of management in the company, mainly coming from the food & beverage sector, followed by cosmopharma, chemical and the automotive industry.

An all-round offer. This year, for the first time, the event was held in 12 halls, hosting 1,644 exhibitors (compared to 1,542 in 2016), confirming itself as an important event for the German packaging industry but at the same time affirming its international vocation, with 38% of exhibitors coming from abroad. Particularly strong was the presence of neighbouring European countries (Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Austria and Turkey).
The commercial proposal of FachPack featured an ever more complete range of products and services, representing the entire process & packaging supply chain: from materials to accessories (in first place with 780 exhibitors), to packaging, labeling and marking machines, to testing and recycling devices (560 total exhibitors), not to mention logistics solutions (297 exhibitors) and printing and finishing systems (224 exhibitors).

Interest and participation. Excellent feedback for the program of round tables and special initiatives, which offered various opportunities for professional development and sharing of knowledge on the most current issues affecting the sector. The PackBox and TechBox forums, organized in collaboration with 19 key partners, involved a total of 7,500 people who attended 100 presentations.
The  exclusive exhibition, focused on premium packaging, which turned the spotlight on 40 creative solutions, highly appreciated by the public for their innovation in design and materials, was protagonist in the new Hall 8, dedicated to the printing and finishing segment.
The pharmaceutical, medical and cosmetics area (Hall 3A) and the related thematic session on “Packaging for medical and pharmaceutical technology” also attracted close attention.
Hence rendezvous at the next edition
of FachPack, scheduled from 24 to 26 September 2019.

AMONG THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS EVENTS OF FACHPACK, WE CITE THE GERMAN PACKAGING, assigned to the most deserving solutions selected along the entire supply chain.
