Hispack 2012

Barcelona, 15th-18th May 2012

Items for salespoints, design solutions, materials, packaging, bottling and labeling machines as well as a wide range of packaging for the industrial and consumer sectors. This is the focus of Hispack that for the 2012 edition - via the offices of Asociación de Empresas Multisectorial (AMEC) - has undertaken an intense program of promotional activities in 20 countries of Latin America and the Mediterranean.

• New feature in the coming edition is the Hispack Tribune Forum that, thanks to the technical days promoted by the major industry associations, aims to facilitate the exchange of experiences between packaging operators and sound out the sentiment and the dynamism of the Spanish packaging industry.
The "Tribune" was inaugurated on 10 November with the "Packaging seminar" organized by the Club Español Packaging, which was attended by hundreds of sector operators and stakeholders.
This first day Héctor Fuentealba (Nestlé manufacturing development manager) intervened to discuss the opportunities of the food packaging market in the current economic environment; Fuentealba also invited the public to carefully consider the megatrends underway (evolution of retail, the changing consumer habits, the polarization of the market, the interaction with the digital world and the challenges of sustainability).
The event was also an opportunity to learn about the functioning of the Club’s Professional Network, a virtual platform for interaction and networking to help share, create and develop knowledge and information for the benefit of the sector.
• The day also witnessed the presentation of the first edition of the manual in Spanish Fundamentals Notions of Packaging Technology.
