Interpack: extraordinary edition
An extremely positive atmosphere was created from the very first day among the 2,700 exhibitors and 175,000 operators who animated the 19 halls of the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre from 8th to 14th May, at the world’s most important packaging fair, fully booked out.
Unanimous satisfaction was expressed for the interest, expertise and willingness to invest of the visitors, judged even higher than in the past, to which can be added the clinching at the fair of many agreements and purchasing contracts, many of which signed and sealed on the spot. The large share of foreign visitors and exhibitors contributed to the good climate generally: about 75% of the companies present at the fair had roots outside of Germany; in particular 66% of the visitors were foreigners from 120 countries, setting a new record for the event, that ranks first among all the Messe Düsseldorf events.
The Director of Interpack, Bernd Jablonowski, also stressed the success of the “special initiatives”, from the Packaging Innovationparc and Metal Packaging Plaza to the second Save Food Congress which was attended by more than 450 delegates, representatives of FAO and UNEP, politicians from different countries (from Germany to Senegal) and of course the industry.
