Macfrut 2015: Forum and exhibition
September 22, Cesena Expo Centre, Macfrut 2015 Forum September 23 to 25, Rimini, Macfrut 2015
Preview on innovation and a focus on packaging and technologies.
Innovation will be the cross-cutting and supporting issue of the next edition of Macfrut 2015, the Italian Fruit&Vegetable fair scheduled in Rimini 23 to 25 September.
The Forum. The Macfrut Forum, the preview event scheduled on September 22 in the Sala Europa of the Cesena Expo Centre, organized in collaboration with CSO and Agroter, will centre on the innovative aspects regarding the segment.
In the afternoon the Forum will host a section in which fruit&vegetable packaging will be featured.
Panel discussions will also feature, during which the successful cases worldwide in the fruit&vegetable supply chain sector will be presented, in a context in which sustainability becomes increasingly important, but equally so the efficiency and the rationalization of production processes as well as consumer communication. In the fruit and vegetable area, packaging plays a key role in the presentation of the products and their handling, but is all the more crucial in terms of the preservation of freshness: the highly perishable nature of the commodity in fact requires maximum protection. The Macfrut Forum hence anticipates a trade show that will see many other absolutely unprecedented and of great interest to companies in the packaging sector that, by participating in the fair, will be able to count on important opportunities for international exchange. It is no coincidence that Ucima, the Italian National Packaging and Wrapping machine Constructors Association, has chosen Macfrut as the only trade fair of the fresh produce sector.
The fair. More generally, Macfrut 2015 (the event is organized by Cesena Fiera) is divided into six halls, with a total of 11 exhibition sectors representing the entire fruit and vegetable industry. A cornerstone of the event, along with technological developments, packaging and packaging, will be internationalization. The appointment at the Fiera di Rimini is characterized by the opening to the emerging markets of Eastern Europe along with UniCredit, leading banking group in Central and Eastern Europe.
At the same time Macfrut is also paying special attention to the countries of the Maghreb (Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia) and those of South America (Brazil and the Dominican Republic in first place).
This scenario makes clear that Macfrut not only wishes to be seen as a fair event in its own right but, in a broader perspective, it becomes a plan to relaunch the Italian fruit and vegetable industry. A project that is supported by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development (MISE), which has chosen it as the only fair funded by the sector.
