Among the main themes of the two-day conferences, the following stand out in particular: innovations in cosmetics packaging, make-up and perfumes; issues relating to patents (workshop), demand trends; new developments regarding secondary packaging, labeling included; the environment and sustainable development. Furthermore, the organizers will hold the PCD Awards ceremony, presided over by Chanel’s acquisitions and packaging development manager (Michel Dupuis) and expert Alain Béthune.
Themes along the same lines will be addressed during the course of Aerosol & Dispensing Forum, which will dedicate particular attention to filling and sealing techniques, different modes of dispensing, environment, innovation, patents and trends, among other things. ADF will also hold an informal award ceremony featuring plenty of information about products and producers.

Something new. Coming back to the new initiative quoted above, the Pet’s & Vet’s Packaging Forum will be held in Paris’s Espace Champerret along with Packaging Cosmetic Design and Aerosol Dispensing Forum in February 2015, and consists in a series of conferences conceived in order to foster exchanges between veterinarians, pharmaceutical companies, packaging representatives and researchers involved in the packaging of products for companion animals. This steadily growing market is valued at more than 95 billion dollars (75 for pet food and 20 for veterinary products) and represents an attractive outlet for producers of aerosols, packaging and accessories that are showing at Oriex’s other two fair/conferences.
The forum will feature presentations concerning primary and secondary packaging of wet and dry foods, snacks, rewards and treats, in addition to every form of hygienic and pharmaceutical product; updates on all possible types of container and accessory, dosing and administration system; on materials, converting and printing techniques, finishing, assembly, filling, etc.; on transport packaging and controlled temperature; on the legal outlook. Moreover, a jury of experts will select recipients of the Pet’s & Vet’s Packaging Award from among the best products put on the European market between January 1st and December 31st, 2014.
