Simei 2022

More than 400 exhibitors, delegations from 36 foreign countries and about 25,000 professional visitors expected from all over the world are the numbers expected at the 29th edition of Simei, the International Enology and Bottling Machinery Exhibition of Unione italiana vini (UIV), which will bring innovation applied to the wine and beverage supply chain to Fiera Milano from November 15 to 18.

The world’s leading event for wine technology, the fair returns to attract professional operators with four days dedicated to the most interesting solutions for oenology, liquid food, oil, beer and spirits.

Watchword: sustainability

Green business models and processes will in fact be the protagonists of the 2022 edition, which is putting the spotlight precisely on ecological development, starting with the scheduled events.

Among the events, stand out meetings such as “The Sustainable Wine Roundtable (SWR)” with two focuses dedicated to technological solutions and the idea of a Global Reference Standard for the world of wine or the proposals of Unione Italiana Vini, Assobibe, Assobirra and Mineracqua that will take stock of energy self-sufficiency in liquid food.

Uiv’s “sustainability cafés,” moreover, will offer daily green pills, with always different guests. There is no shortage of awards with an updated Innovation Challenge, the competition for technological innovation in the industry, presenting the new category “Green Innovation Award Simei 2022.”

Finally, among the partnerships, in addition to the collaboration with Assoenologi and the Women of Wine, space will be given to the world of beer with the I.G.A. Beer Challenge, the international competition reserved for Italian Grape Ale, for the first time at Simei.
