Smart Packaging 2019

17 September 2019, Milan - Organized by Pharma Hub - the IKN Italy community dedicated to the world of life science - the new edition of Smart Packaging is focused on the analysis of the impacts and opportunities generated by the obligation of serialization and in view of aggregation.

The event, aimed at key professionals in the sector (packaging managers, regulatory affairs, QA/QC, artwork managers, technical directors, production managers), includes interventions by the Poligrafico dello Stato, AIFA* and 16 companies in the world of pharma, who will discuss how to offer smart, organic and safe packaging.

Agenda contents. The program alternates round tables, industry focus, case histories, workshops, panel discussions. Among the planned interventions we mention the discussion between Alfasigma, Delpharm, Roche and Mylan on the costs and opportunities of serialization; the special Focus by AIFA on the fight against falsification of medicines and pharmaceutical crime; the Angelini-Poligrafico dello Stato audit on the benefits of collaboration between pharma and the institutions, and the round table with Recordati, Angelini and GlaxoSmithKline on the actions taken in the field of aggregation, in view of the deadline of 01/01/2020 for access to the Russian market; Recordati, Teva, Novartis will share their experiences on primary packaging, focusing on how to avoid contact contamination; finally, the benchmark panel with COC Farmaceutici, Boehringer Ingelheim Italia, Alcon Italia and Mylan on medical devices will take stock of how to get prepared for 2020, when the new European Medical Devices Regulation (MDR) will be applied.
At the end of the day, a work session on labeling will take place.
