L’Oréal, the world-leading cosmetics company, has announced the launch of a new beauty technology hub in Hyderabad, southern India, with an initial investment of over 35 billion rupees (approximately $383 million). The hub will serve as a global center for AI-driven beauty innovation, supporting the development and rollout of advanced cosmetic solutions while creating 2,000 technology jobs by 2030.

The partnership between L’Oréal CEO Nicolas Hieronimus and the Telangana state government highlights the strategic importance of Hyderabad as a rapidly growing investment and technology hub in southern India.

Bilateral trade between India and France reached $15 billion in 2024, and both countries continue to strengthen economic ties, with efforts underway to modernize their tax treaty to reflect global standards of transparency. This investment underscores L’Oréal’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation, positioning the company at the forefront of advanced, AI-enabled beauty solutions for consumers worldwide.
