“Open-close” label for wet wipes

Nuceria Group (leader for the production of integrated packaging with consolidated experience in the sector of wet wipes), Avery Dennison (self-adhesive materials) and Fater (personal absorbent products) have collaborated in the development of an “open-close” label for the wet wipes market, implementing their knowledge in the selection of material and adhesive, design development and die cutting, application tests and machinability.


The Otto label (patent pending) is printed on a self-adhesive PET support with a thickness from 170 to 260 microns to guarantee correct rigidity, with removable adhesive to guarantee long-lasting open-close functionality. The die-cutting is characterized by an internal line of special hatching that acts as a hinge for the label, which becomes the real cap of the package, to guarantee the integrity of the product and the sustainability of the package.
An innovative solution able to make the difference, thanks to the reduction of the complexity and the number of components, it stands out for ease of use and re-closability even with one hand, obviously guaranteeing the protection of the product and its organoleptic properties (perfume, humidity, etc.).
