Removals: a masterpiece of logistics

Madina Printing Publishing MPPC has chosen GWS Printing Systems to transfer a heatset print unit from Oslo (Norway) to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The two companies involved in the project have worked over a year to evaluate the different configuration options and, after completing the feasibility study, last summer MPPC gave the green light to the project. In the meantime, the company has bought two Goss printers with dryer from a Norwegian printer who as winding down his business, as well as the Agfa prepress and Ferag shipping systems.
The move was done in record time. All machines were disassembled, packed, transported and re-installed in Jeddah. The transport took six weeks, including customs clearance activities, some 85 containers being used.
