Strategic investments in Italy
Following the unveiling in Ireland in December 2017 of a new software research and development center, dedicated to computer vision and artificial intelligence, the Lombard company Antares Vision resumes investing in Italy with a new plant that will make automatic inspection and quality control machines for pharmaceutical products (vials, flacons, capsules, compresses) in the industrial district of Bogolese di Sorbolo (PR).
With an investment of over 3.5 million euro, the new plant will be dedicated to Germano Storci, a legendary businessman of Collecchio who passed away last year and had founded Pharmatech, which has been acquired by Antares Vision founding partners Emidio Zorzella and Massimo Bonardi, respectively the firm’s CEO and Managing and Technical Director. Zorzella emphasized the strategic importance of this investment in the Parma area, where, over the next two years, over 50 people will be hired to make pharmaceutical inspection machines that will then be distributed across the globe.
RETURNING FROM THE 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF ITS FOUNDATION, Antares Vision (Travagliato, BS) confirms its status as a global producer of visual inspection systems, traceability solutions and intelligent data management applied to pharmaceutical products, medical devices, cosmetics and food & beverage. The firm logged 100 million euro in turnover in 2017, a 50% increase over the previous year.
