AC30 frequency converters: the range expands
To meet high-power applications, Parker Hannifin - the world leader in motion and control technologies - has expanded the AC30 series of frequency converters, which now reach 450 kW.
After the recent introduction of the resolver feedback option, which was implemented to add further functionality to the closed loop control, the new range extensions confirm the company’s commitment to guarantee ever higher performance.
Flexibility, reliability and simplicity are the main features of the AC30, available in different sizes to satisfy the widest possible range of applications.
These frequency converters offer various possibilities of motor control, from the simplest applications such as open loop pumps and fans to the most demanding ones, such as closed loop process control. The series offers economical, reliable and accurate speed and torque control for both induction asynchronous motors and permanent magnet servomotors (PMAC).
Cost-saving and advanced features. Thanks to the AC30’s ability to monitor the energy consumed, customers can adapt the speed of the motor to the application needs, reducing energy consumption, with significant savings.
As a further advantage for users, in addition to reducing operating costs, the converters of this series extend the mechanical life of motors, pumps, fans and auxiliary equipment such as ducts or pipes.
Although simple in design, they have high-level features and functionality: for example, users can enjoy the benefits of integrated macros for a large number of applications, while thanks to the Parker Drive Developer (PDD) software based on Codesys, sophisticated PLC functions can be created.
The high flexibility and modularity make them compatible with a wide range of communication protocols, including Profinet, Profibus and EtherCAT, which can be easily added together with the I/O modules.
