Casserole-tray “à la française”

Six months of development and 100 thousand euro went into the new thermoformed plastic tray with barrier properties that RPC Barrier Containers has created for the premium brand “La Cuisine d’Océane” (VIF, Gendreau Group). Also microwave-safe, the container reproduces the shape of the “cocotte” used in traditional country cooking.

The tray consists in a multilayer PP/EVOH/PP structure capable of guaranteeing a shelf life of 12 months and is colored red outside and black on the inside, just like the old-fashioned casserole that inspired it. The capacity of 350 g (50 g above the standard) also guarantees a family format portion.

With these features, the container proves particularly effective for protection and presentation of foods with no artificial color or aromas, conferring a distinct air of the authenticity and heartiness of country cooking.
