Freebox™ on the U.S. and Russian market, with a new feature

Flexibility, reduced environmental impact and raw material savings: These are the most appreciated features of System Group’s Freebox™ technology which, with the new "Plug-In" format , extends the range of boxes produced. Now facing onto the U.S. and Russian markets.

The system for secondary and tertiary packaging designed by Gruppo System, which reduces cardboard used by 60%, has passed the test of the U.S. and Russian markets.

For a "cleaner" e-commerce. At the end of January, the Freebox™ technology arrived at ProMat 2013 in Chicago (USA). Attending the event one was able to measure interest with respect to the needs of companies active in the e-commerce sector where electronic trading is more lively and advanced.
The insistent theme of ecology and reducing the environmental impact of industrial systems, particularly marked in the field of logistics and packaging, is helping the Freebox™ system to take off. The reason is simple: it is the only technology that can automatically produce boxes perfectly sized to the object to be packaged (which has perhaps been purchased on the internet) starting from flat sheets of neutral cardboard.
This the peculiarity of Freebox™, which offers many environmental benefits: firstly, the reduction of the volume of the boxes also benefits the town or city, enabling the optimisation of transport and the reduction of CO2 emissions (the theme aboveall appeals to those that operate in the field of city logistics). And if the products are well protected in tailored boxes, the packs take up less volume because they "host" the product in the best way possible, making plastic padding, cellophane, paper to be thrown away immediately after opening the pack unnecessary. Thus Freebox™ competes to reduce the environmental impact of packaging.

Autonomy and efficiency. On the other side of the world, at the Moscow Upakovka fair, System has received confirmation that Freebox™ technology represents a real breakthrough, a sort of "turning point" in logistics and packaging. In its 28 square meters, the system has in fact everything that is needed to produce cartons in total autonomy, quickly and accurately, moving from one dimension to another with instant format changeover. And the market is appreciative.
Also with this innovative solution, the System Group confirms it is able break the deadlock in the domestic market with a strong propensity to export, which in 2011 amounted to 70% of turnover.
System offers potential investors the possibility to calculate their savings on production and contextualize the return on investment before purchasing the equipment.

The evolution. The novelty of 2013 is the expansion of the range of boxes that can be made with the Freebox™ technology. The new format is the "plug-in" (http://youtu.be/KdfG-UB6MVw)), FEFCO code 0212, with reclosable lid. Particularly suitable to contain small objects (for example, spare parts), the interlayers and corner-pieces can be produced with Freebox™ and positioned as needed. The new model joins the six already produced according to Gifco-Fefco codes: RSC boxes, trays and lids, "telescopic" format boxes.
Videos are available illustrating the technology on the dedicated YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/systemfreebox).
