IDM Automation | Cosmopack 2022

At Cosmopack 2022 IDM Automation presents an absolute novelty: a fully automated line consisting of a digital tube printing machine and a tube filling and closing machine, connected to each other via a collaborative anthropomorphic robot capable of transferring the printed tubes to the tube filling machine.

Not just a production line but a real innovation of concept, that can be transferred to the printing and filling of an aluminium tube but also of a plastic one, a make-up bottle and other round, oval or conical.

The real novelty is intrinsic in digital printing and consists in the possibility of printing directly on the containers without the need for printing clichés; in this way it is possible to print small or even limited production batches for promotional campaigns. The main advantage, therefore, consists in being able to keep in stock a series of neutral containers by printing them quickly and without quantity restrictions immediately when necessary, filling them inline and thus having a product ready for delivery without intermediate logistics steps.

Born from the collaboration with Quantix Digital, in which IDM's creation was directly involved, the new PF-220 line is the exemplification of a concept that the company wants to present: the inline combination between printing and filling.
