Mondi: mission accomplished

The Italian branch of the largescale integrated materials and flexible packaging producer closed Ipack-Ima with a more than positive balance in terms of both visibility and contacts.    

The lively “Mondi orange” guided people towards the stand of the Italian branch of the group, which grew since the acquisition of Nordenia in 2012 significantly and present at Ipack-Ima with three main objectives: «Show itself, do branding and highlight the many innovatory products that set our offer in the consumer packaging field apart, result of the marketing choices and the developments we made over the last years in our innovation capabilities».

At the end of the event, Andrea Beccaro, regional consumer goods packaging sales head Italy, was truly satisfied:«We made it clear to the customers that came to see us and to the large amount of new and interesting visitors that registered at our stand, that we are not just one of the leading paper and paper based packaging producer but also a globally operating manufacturer of films, hygiene components, converted consumer goods packaging and release liner. Mondi’s core competencies in this area include manufacturing, printing, coating, converting as well as refining or processing of films. As a leader within innovation and technology, Mondi operates its’ own R&D Center in Gronau, Germany, and has established a dedicated innovation team serving mainly the FMCG end-use markets throughout whole Europe.
Mondi Consumer Packaging employs around 5,000 people worldwide in 25 production sites.

Quality and solidity. This trend also covers the Italian market, where Mondi serves the consumer goods giants and an ever higher number of small-to-medium-sized concerns, that appreciate the variety of their innovatory solutions, the good quality-price ratio and their dedicated service attitude. «These plus features - Beccaro underlines - derive from the fact that we are an integrated company (the production cycle starts from the resin and ends up with the finished product) hence we do and make everything in-house with max. freedom of formulation and design and a quality controlled in all phases - production, finishing, print.
    
As well as that the market recognises the reliability of a solid company capable of offering guarantees of continuity that not everyone is capable of offering above all in times of crisis».            
The latest proposals. On the subject of consumer packaging, Mondi presented many new interesting features at Ipack-Ima, aimed aboveall at the food sector, but also for petfood, confectionery, hygiene and personal care and other sectors.
Spotlight on a paper-plastic laminate produced in the Group’s Padua works, where the window is not created in the die but by laser in the lamination stage. The procedure adopted enables the easy and economic change of the shape on each reference.
Appreciated too the stand-up prefomed block-bottomed bag, with many optionals including the different types of “open and close” that can be positioned in several parts of the pack.
