New features in linerless
Presented for the first time at the last Labelexpo Europe, where it aroused considerable interest, Core Linerless Solutions® by Ritrama is now being offered to the market, offering a solution to the age-old problem of liner disposal.
In Ritrama’s mutilayer, a PP 25 micron film laminated to a 12 micron siliconated liner is printed at high speed on three traditional lines. Subsequently, on a special machine devised by Parati, the film is separated from the liner, which is then turned around and laminated to the printed side of the PP. Thus a label “coated” with protective film is obtained, alternative to lacquering, cut and microperforated in line, and lastly wrapped in a reel.
The overall gauge of the new label is 55 microns, hence well below the 110-115 of a standard laminate structure, also with evident economic advantages.
