Fixed self-centring chucks

Tags

Essential components in production, particularly in drilling and milling processes, the range of self-centring chucks offered by norelem includes 3-4-jaw models in stainless steel.

Besides excellent performance in terms of precision and safety, they ensure the stability of the piece to be processed, which is particularly important for rapidly moving machines.

Norelem’s 3-jaw chuck is equipped with three jaws that safely clamp round, triangular or hexagonal pieces in the lathe. They are available in four different diameters, from 220 to 370 mm and can reach a clamping force of up to 44 kN. Alternatively, the 4-jaw chuck can be used to block a variety of other shapes, including pieces with four, eight and twelve sides.

They are available in four different dimensions with a width from 215 to 38 mm and a clamping force of up to 25 kN. Easy and quick to use, norelem’s fixed self-centring chucks have a flat design and a wide bore for holding bar material. The main body of the self-centring chucks is in ground steel, and the jaws are in hardened and ground steel, guaranteeing repeat accuracy with centric clamping of 0.02 mm. Soft jaws can be screwed onto the jaw bases to facilitate the clamping of pieces with particular shapes and dimensions.

To maintain reliable operation and clamping force, regular lubrication of the components is essential; this is facilitated by the optimal accessibility of the lubrication system.
