Super Combi becomes “Compact”... and even more super
Reduced footprint and 30% higher performance thanks to the new integrated filling technology EvoFILL HS Still: Sidel presents the “Compact” version of Super Combi, an all-in-one system for packaging mineral water. Competitive TCO and lower production costs per square meter.
Like its predecessor, Sidel’s Super Combi Compact is an all-in-one system that integrates the five stages of the beverage filling process: preform feeding, blowing, labelling, filling/capping and cap feeding. The pluses that characterize the new version are the drastic reduction of the overall dimensions and the enhanced performance, against a very high production rate (54,000 bph). Moreover, thanks to its ergonomic design and the use of cutting-edge technologies, Super Combi Compact simplifies access, use and maintenance, ensuring the highest quality of production.
As a result, the line offers a higher level of overall efficiency and increased uptime with the ability to work at medium and high speeds at a consistent production rate. Improvements to the blow molding, filling and labeling operations allow for a blow molding rate of up to 2,700 bphpm. A robotic arm for automatic mould changeover has also been introduced, which drastically reduces changeover times and improves safety conditions by eliminating all human intervention. Labeling is performed by a single, extremely reliable system, with rapid automatic splicing of the label reel.
The Super Combi Compact’s labelling technology also offers fast format changes with an easy parts replacement system, as well as an automatic label extractor that sucks up labels for improved productivity. In addition, the labeller supports different types and technologies of labelling (roll-fed and self-adhesive).
EvoFILL HS Still, the “ace up one’s sleeve”
The most disruptive innovation of the Super Combi Compact is the filling machine, Sidel EvoFILL HS Still. It is a system with proportional filling valves controlled by electromagnetic actuators, which allows to accelerate the speed of the process by 30%, while ensuring the highest level of control and accuracy, for a correct dosage of the liquid in the containers. Completely dynamic and perfected, the filling technology ensures maximum precision in terms of beverage flow modulation: the position of the valve plunger can in fact be modified with the utmost freedom according to the type of beverage, according to the speed and optimal filling level for each product.
In addition, the new hygienic valve design, which is membrane-free, ensures the highest quality of beverages by eliminating the risk of flavor transfer.
