Agreement in the confectionery sector: Bouvard acquires stake in Lago Group

Lago Group (Galliera Veneta - PD), a historic confectionary company with consolidated 2018 revenues of more than €52 million and two production plants, has signed a partnership agreement with French group Biscuit Bouvard, a European market leader in the production of biscuits and bakery products with a turnover of €350 million, 14 manufacturing plants in Europe and the USA and a longstanding presence in Italy through its two subsidiaries Bouvard Italia and Forneria Gusparo.

Under the terms of the agreement, Bouvard has acquired a stake in Lago Group owned by the Lago family, which will retain management positions alongside the new CEO Pierre Josselin.

The partnership will strengthen the Lago Group’s brand and enable it to expand its product portfolio thanks to the French group’s wide product range, while Bouvard will leverage its commercial strength and know-how in the Private Label and Co-Manufacturing segments to market products made in the Lago Group’s factories.
