Merger between Alp.I and Antares Vision
Alp.I, the special purpose acquisition company promoted by Mediobanca and listed on the AIM stock market, has reached a merger agreement with Antares Vision (BS), a global player specialising in the design, production and installation of traceability solutions for the pharmaceutical sector.
Specifically, Alp.I will invest €70 million and acquire an approximately 12% stake in the Brescia, Italy-based company.
Antares Vision, founded in 2007 by Emidio Zorzella and Massimo Bonardi, is one of the main suppliers to 10 of the world’s 20 largest pharmaceutical groups (it can boast around 2,000 installations on packaging lines in more than 200 pharmaceutical plants in Italy and worldwide).
For 2018 the Brescia-based company expects to post consolidated revenue of €110 million, an EBIT in excess of €30 million and net profit of more than €20 million.
Over 80% of Antares Vision’s output is exported to more than 60 countries worldwide.
