New solutions from Melegari Technology for the milk sector

Melegari Technology, a longstanding Parma-based company that has been manufacturing machines for the bottling industry for over 50 years, is introducing a new range of filling monoblocks designed specifically for milk (fresh and ESL), with capacities ranging from 2,500 to 40,000 bph.

The monoblock consists of a sterilisation/rinsing turret, an ultraclean volumetric filler and a capping turret. The following are some of its characteristics.

Sterilisation/rinsing turret

• Product contact parts made of AISI 316 SS;
• bottle sterilisation with hot air-activated hydrogen peroxide or ozonated water;
• system installed in a microbiological isolator equipped with an electric extractor;
• C.O.P. devices to wash all parts in contact with the mouth and neck of the bottle and the machine base.

Ultraclean volumetric filler (model Voljet UC)

• Improved hygiene and product safety;
• no contact with the bottle to avoid cross-contamination;
• all product contact parts are made of AISI 316L SS;
• filling valve equipped with a volumetric flow meter;
• high filling accuracy (±0.5% of nominal volume);
• ease of use thanks to a touchscreen operator panel and minimal maintenance requirements;
• false bottles for CIP/SIP (with optional automatic insertion).

Capping turret

• I.E.S. or washable design;
• cap channel equipped with a tunnel for sterilisation using hot air-activated hydrogen peroxide, ozonated water or sterilising lamps (UV or pulsed light).
