Stretch film bundle for PET bottles halves the production costs

Consumption of plastic film halved, 60% energy saving, 40% costs reduction of plastic film: these are the objectives achieved by the innovative bundling stretch plant of PET bottles designed for the beverage industry, produced and distributed by A.l.m.a.c Packaging of Cernusco sul Naviglio (Milan).

On the table a unique proposition, since the shrink film is replaced by stretch film: as an example, a bundle of 6 bottles of mineral water of 1.5 l is wrapped with a maximum of 10 g of stretch film.
Each machine is designed for the exchange of grippers for bottles of 2 l, 1l up to 50 cc.

Almac Packaging has reached this result after more than 20 years of experience in construction of machines that produce and transform LLDPE stretch films like cast coextrusion plants, rewinding machines, prestretch and cutting machines.

A deep knowledge of the stretch films properties and the introduction on the market of new more performant films have contributed to the search of innovative technological solutions, which have allowed to realize a simple and versatile machine that substitute the heavier shrink film, eliminates the shrinking oven exploiting instead the cling properties and the new technical properties of stretch films, even in very low thicknesses.
The exclusive international patent no. PCT/B2010/002062 has exceeded the comparison of 19 claims as novelty (N), 19 such inventive processes (IS) and 19 of industrial applicability (A).
