Giflex and Ipack-Ima renew partnership for 2026-2028
Announcement made during the autumn congress of the Flexible Packaging Group in Rome
Giflex and Ipack-Ima have signed a renewed partnership agreement for the 2026-2028 period. The signing took place today in Rome during the autumn congress of the Flexible Packaging Group, titled “Flexible Packaging: Minimalist by Nature,” which runs until Friday, November 7.
“We’re renewing our partnership with Ipack-Ima after three years of solid collaboration because we need spaces and platforms that elevate packaging in terms of collective trust. It’s no longer enough to talk about it merely as a highly innovative and specialized product, it must become the centerpiece of a broader conversation within an integrated supply chain", commented Alberto Palaveri, president of Giflex, during the celebratory moment.
Building on the record-breaking results of the 2025 edition - over 1,300 exhibitors, 70,000 visitors, and 40 international events - the focus now shifts to IPACK-IMA 2028. The synergy between the world of flexible materials and packaging technologies as a driver of industrial innovation is the foundation of the agreement, which will foster meetings, insights, and dialogue across the supply chain during their respective events.
“Flexible packaging is undergoing a powerful transformation: the growing adoption of mono-material and recyclable solutions, the integration of smart films with sensors, digital traceability through AI systems, and the need to comply with increasingly stringent circular economy regulations are clear signs of change. In this context, the synergy between Giflex and IPACK-IMA is not just an agreement - it’s a laboratory where material research and packaging technology evolution take shape and create an efficient ecosystem. Together, we’re building a trade show that serves as a true innovation hub and a meeting point where design, sustainability, and smart manufacturing converge to shape a global supply chain that is increasingly competitive and responsible,” concluded Simone Castelli, CEO of Ipack Ima Srl.
