BEST PACKAGING 2026: the Packaging Oscars are back
Promoted by Istituto Italiano Imballaggio and organized by Packaging Meeting Srl, the competition has been celebrating the most creative and sustainable packaging solutions for over sixty years
A long-awaited event for the packaging industry, Best Packaging 2026 is back.
Next year’s edition comes with a strong focus on design and project development, guided by the theme ALL AROUND DESIGN: packaging as the perfect synthesis of vision, function and innovation, capable of interpreting the needs of the market and the supply chain with an integrated and responsible approach.
In addition to the main awards, the Jury will assign three Special Prizes. The Environment Award, under the patronage of Conai, will highlight solutions attentive to the prevention of environmental impact.
The Technological Innovation Award, supported by Ipack-Ima, will reward the most advanced technologies, technical performance and smart packaging solutions.
Finally, the Luxury Packaging - Responsible Beauty Special Award, a brand-new feature for 2026, will be dedicated to the luxury sector and will recognize projects capable of combining aesthetic prestige, emotional experience and tangible sustainability, in line with the new European regulations.
Taking part in the contest means much more than winning a prize. Best Packaging is a mark of industrial excellence that strengthens the B2B reputation of companies, communicates their ability to innovate, and offers visibility along the entire supply chain, from brand owners to end users.
Thanks to a structured promotional plan – which includes press, trade media, social channels and major events such as Milano Design Week (April 20-26, 2026) and Interpack (May 7-13, 2026) – the finalist and winning solutions will enjoy unique and strategic exposure.
Moreover, the awarded projects will gain access to the WorldStar Award of the World Packaging Organization, bringing Italian excellence to the international stage.
