DS Smith Packaging Italia S.p.A.

DS Smith Packaging Italia S.p.A. redesigned a corrugated cardboard packaging solution for ice cream products, optimizing its structure to enhance production and logistics efficiency. The new design reduced box weight by 7%, cut waste by 82%, and lowered energy and water consumption in production by 33%. In addition, pallet efficiency doubled compared to the previous solution.

Lastre Ceramiche Atlas Concorde
Ceramiche Atlas Concorde

Ceramiche Atlas Concorde improved the packaging system for ceramic slabs by redesigning materials and structure. The previous solution used EPS and polyurethane protective elements, which have been eliminated in favor of increased use of recycled cardboard. Slabs are now transported on rack supports, resulting in an 11% weight reduction and improved logistics performance, with 10 slabs per shipment unit instead of 7.

Cisalfa Sport S.p.A.

Cisalfa Sport S.p.A. replaced traditional corrugated cardboard boxes with reusable PP crates across its distribution system, involving a central warehouse and 165 stores. The initiative improves the handling of accessories, clothing and footwear while significantly reducing environmental impact through reuse over time.

Vimar S.p.A.

Vimar S.p.A. redesigned the entire packaging system of its SICURY socket, including primary packaging and shipping boxes. By reducing the instruction leaflet, the primary pack size was optimized, achieving a 25% weight reduction. Shipping boxes were also redesigned, increasing pallet layers and improving logistics efficiency, with a 44% increase in transport capacity.
