Ima Coffee Hub: a cluster
IMA Group has launched the Coffee Hub, a cluster of specialist brands, each providing the key experience and expertise needed to serve the coffee industry.
Able to ensure market-leading competences, industry experience and application-specific know-how encompassing all stages of coffee handling, processing and packaging, acting on a global scale as the one-stop supplier to large and small coffee producers worldwide. These are the strategic objectives that have guided IMA in creating a Coffee Hub, a technical and commercial production organization composed of expert companies and supported by consolidated partnerships.
An integrated supply chain
Dialoguing with a single supplier able to better manage each production phase - starting from when green coffee is delivered to when bulk-packaged capsules, pods and ground coffee or beans are shipped to retail outlets - offers many advantages to producers: thanks to the synergies involved and the sharing of skills and objectives, it is in fact possible to coordinate timing, optimize resources and guarantee high and constant quality. Thanks to the Coffee Hub, IMA becomes the ideal interlocutor to respond to each and every need and to achieve complete projects, with an integrated and efficient management of the various production phases.
From processing…
… to primary, secondary and end of line packaging
Once the processing phases have been completed, the IMA Coffee Hub guarantees the complete management of the subsequent packaging phase - packaging being the group’s key skill area - relying on qualified companies, which offer the highest levels of expertise in the field, proposing machines for filling capsules, pods, for cartoning, form-fill-seal and end-of-line packaging.
Among the important innovations, we recall the recent acquisition of Spreafico, a timehonored concern specialised in designing machines for the packaging of coffee capsules and soluble products, and globally renowned for developing machinery to customise standard capsules.
Machines for soft and hard pods are part of the line-up developed by GIMA, whose solutions enable customers to rapidly respond to diverse market requirements.
Single serve capsule fillers from GIMA, Spreafico and Mapster , provide high, medium and low-speed solutions. GIMA also builds cutting-edge secondary packaging solutions.
Part of the Hub and with 25 years of specific experience, vertical form-fill-seal expert TECMAR provides machines handling dosed filling of flexible, sealed packages in all shapes and sizes.
End-of-line packaging equipment from IMA’s BFB Division addresses ergonomic issues supplying custom solutions and developing machines with an eye to optimising costs and quality.
