Anuga FoodTec 2018

20 - 23 March 2018, Cologne (D)   This year’s edition will be one to “speak to the senses” and build an industry culture, given the extensive offering, focused on food production, which will be covered in all its phases. The entire affair will be duly oriented toward quality as that which determines the character of a food product.

Books as food for the mind and food (produced and packaged according to strict quality standards) as nourishment for the body. The splendid Palatina library in Parma’s Pilotta monument complex provided the setting for an international press conference held by Koelnmesse GmbH in the runup to the 2018 edition of Anuga Foodtec.

«Character is that which makes a food product unmistakable, just like a fingerprint.
Character is expressed through a product, through its production process, through its presentation, and it is with this tradition in mind that we will unveil a fair next year which we believe will prove unmistakable».
With these words, Katharina C. Hamma (Chief Operating Officer Koelnmesse GmbH) explained what she believes the meaning of Anuga Foodtec 2018 will prove to be, during a recently held international press conference in Parma.

The event is scheduled to take place in Cologne on 20-23 March.
With its unique character among international fairs, the tri-annual show Anuga FoodTec, which is organized jointly by DLG and Koelnmesse GmbH, will present technological solutions for all segments of the food & beverage industry (dairy, meat, beverage, pasta, fruit & vegetables, oils & fats), and in particular will cover all aspects of food production, from process technologies to filling and packaging techniques, ingredients and food safety.

Nor will there be any lack of thematic updates on issues concerning the food industry as a whole, such as efficient use of resources, industry 4.0, climatization techniques and logistics optimization.
Anuga Foodtec is on the verge of breaking new records in terms of exhibitors, as this year some 1700 are expected from over 50 countries, 200 more than in 2015.
Significant, in this sense, is the presence of exhibitors from “new arrivals”, such as group exhibitors from New Zealand and Egypt, which provide further proof of the growing international importance of Anuga FoodTec.
This year’s edition is also expected to see a rise in visitors (+13%), as well as exhibition space. In fact, for the first time, the event will also occupy pavilion 10.2 to cover a total surface area of 140,000 m2.
