Re Place is sustainable, versatile and visually appealing
Lumson, a leader in the field of primary packaging for skincare and make-up, is presenting Re Place, a new glass jar with refillable inner cup. The innovative refill solution is designed to be easily removable and replaceable and offers an effective response to market demands.
Re Place uses Lumson’s DeLuxe and Unique 50ml glass jars, which stand out respectively for their elegant classic shape and prestigious rounded lines. In keeping with a positive luxury approach, they both have an extremely thick jar bottom.
“Refills are an effective component of the new circular design systems due to their extremely positive impact on the environment, while also inspiring discerning consumers to adopt new and more ethical consumption habits,” explains Lumson’s Chairman Matteo Moretti. “Redesigning and rethinking new refill systems will increasingly become a priority for Lumson and testifies to our ongoing commitment to sustainability without sacrificing technical, aesthetic and product protection functions.”
The plastic inner cup, specially designed to allow for the application of a protective top, can be easily removed from the jar when empty and sent to recycling.
Both components can be customised with a variety of effects and decorations to make them recognisable and to give them a distinctive identity when used as individual packaging solutions. These range from simple but elegant silk-screen printing to the most sophisticated internal coating technology that enhances the contours and thickness of the glass.
