Yankee Candle, fragrances that won over
In 2016, thanks to the commitment and collaboration of P.E. USA, the P.E. Labellers group supplied Yankee Candle group 13 labelling machines.
Yankee Candle, the world’s most well known manufacturer of scented candles, is a successful American brand that, over the course of 40 years, has managed to become a market leader.
The attention to detail, the study of each fragrance, the duration of candles and the passion of candlemakers have led the entire world to fall in love with these top-quality products featuring all kinds of fragrances and names.
In 2015, Yankee Candle had a turnover of about €1.6 billion and a production of over 200 million candles with traditional, seasonal and limited edition fragrances. The flagship products are glass jar candles, but the company also produces room diffusers, car fresheners and candle accessories.
In 2016, thanks to the commitment and collaboration of P.E. USA, the P.E. Labellers group supplied them 13 labelling machines, and precisely:
- 3 Modular Plus 540 rotary labelling machines with plate rotation by means of servomotors, as well as self-adhesive stations 40 m/min, for applying the front label and back label on glass jars at a speed of 80 p/m; downstream of the three rotary labelling machines, 3 linear self-adhesive labelling machines Eagle D model have been installed, produced by Packlab, for applying the label on the bottom of the container.
- 5 printing and application systems of the model Print&Apply by Packlab, for end-of-line application of a self-adhesive label on the side of individual packs and cartons, to ensure product traceability. The labels are printed on the spot, with a thermal transfer printer and applied onto cardboard, in movement on the conveyor belt, by means of a pneumatic system.
In addition, a Packlab linear labelling machine of the Wing model has been supplied for applying the adhesive front label on the individual candles, along with a self-adhesive station 90 m/min for applying the label on the bottom (Eagle); all this at a speed of 215 p/m.
