Board: high performance, sturdy and ecofriendly

The new materials and the main applications presented at Mondi by interpack.

Mondi’s 430 sqm booth at interpack attracted over 2,000 visitors from countries worldwide, with a 63% increase on  2011 figures. The international packaging and paper group used its presence at the international exhibition to showcase its full range of innovative, high-performance and eco-efficient packaging and paper solutions, with many positive responses that proved that sustainability and smart packaging solutions are gaining more and more importance.

Their large stand in fact was designed to highlight Mondi’s commitment in these two directions, as for example their cooperation with the WWF bears witness to, symbolised by the 5 metre high giraffe located at the centre of the space. And aboveall, the new product features covering
the company’s full spectrum of packaging and paper solutions from flexible packaging solutions to printed films and laminates, kraft paper, paper-based industrial bags, containerboard, corrugated packaging and extrusion coating solutions (in the photos some of the many examples).
Mondi is also an active member of the SAVE FOOD initiative with a booth in the Innovationparc Packaging zone that offered solutions for saving food waste.

Wide-angled view on kraft
At interpack Mondi presented, among the others, its broad “kraft” portfolio of high-quality containerboard grades, starting from the ProVantage KraftTop Liner and KraftTop Liner X paper grades.
KraftTop represents outstanding performance, strength and excellent appearance; it is ideal for stronger packaging applications, such as those required in the chemical, pharmaceutical and furniture industries. Their natural appearance also makes these paper grades a valid and cost-effective alternative to kraftliners and heavy substance testliners.

Mondi Containerboard showed also its EcoVantage Kraft Xlite, EcoVantage Kraft X and EcoVantage KraftTop X papers. The EcoVantage brand stands for cost-effective, high-quality and lightweight solutions. Starting at 70 gsm, the lightweight product range is ideal for reducing box weight. Its versatility also makes EcoVantage perfect for use in shopping bags, in cushioned packaging, as a base for coatings, as masking paper, for wrapping as well as for food packaging...
