Bottle filling: flexibility by ACMA

A ductile technology enables ACMA’s WMM technology platform to handle liquid products with different viscosities and densities, as well as different types of bottle sizes and closure caps.

Specific know-how in liquid filling technologies has led ACMA, a Coesia Group company, to work with leading companies in heterogeneous sectors. WMM is the technological platform around which the different configurations for bottle filling are developed. It is a one-piece unit that makes flexibility its strong point, being able to handle different bottle sizes, bottles and related closure systems, including different types of dispensers.

One solution, many applications

Created for bottling a variety of liquid products, the WMM, thanks to its great flexibility, is used in a variety of markets including Home & Personal Care (shampoos, bubble baths, soaps, detergents, etc.), Chemical (oils or lubricants), Food (condiments, sauces and yogurt) and Pharma (syrups and supplements). All this is made possible by technology that enables the WMM to handle products with different viscosities and densities, as well as different types of bottle sizes and closure caps.

High-performance, flexible and reliable

Very flexible machines are rarely also fast. WMM reverses this trend and expresses top-notch performance, typically being able to handle between 400 and 500 bottles per minute and reaching, in particular configurations, up to 900 pieces per minute.

The machine is also equipped with servo-motorized capping heads, which enable it to control both the orientation of the cap and the closing torque of the cap precisely, even at high speeds.

All this is not at the expense of reliability: numerous units have in fact been in use for several years in every corner of the world, with excellent and consistent performance.

Not just mechanics: the digital revolution

Like many of ACMA’s solutions, WMM is equipped with OptiMate, the new HMI panel based on Coesia’s proprietary technology. Available in different configurations, from “basic” to “premium,” the version that comes with WMM allows specific advanced operations, such as real-time access to data on the weight and filling time of individual bottles, as well as information on production trends (number of pieces produced and rejects).

Finally, OptiMate allows remote access to production report databases. All these features help to optimize production, increasing line efficiency.
