Cost-effective and energy-saving
Energy efficiency has always been one of the strengths of the Sew-Eurodrive multi-axis servo drives, now announcing the availability of MOVIAXIS® also with regenerative block-shaped MXR81 power module.
It is a cost effective solution for feeding the energy released during the descent or braking phases back into the system, so as to optimize the overall system energy consumption and consequently, reduce costs.
Depending on the system characteristic, designers can now choose between the existing regenerative sinusoidal (MXR80) power module and the new MXR81, especially developed for regenerative block-shaped power supply.
Both solutions enable the installation of limited size power supply components, helping to reduce the space for the installation of the overall system. Optimized filters and inductors are available for the two modules. The type of module should be selected based on the characteristics of the electrical network: in weaker networks the MXR80 module ensures the required quality, since it limits sinusoidal synchronized current with the response phase of line voltage.
The MXR81 unit in turn returns block-shaped current to the power supply system.
To minimize network disturbances, the recovery feature is only active in the regenerative mode. This function is automatically disabled during standby or when the engine is under charge. Both Sew-Eurodrive regenerative power modules are available in size 50 kW and 75 kW for use in combination with the MOVIAXIS® multi-axis servodrive.
