DC power relay

Considering the rise of systems fed by high tension batteries and renewable energies, Omron Electronic Components Europe (OCB-EU) has expanded its offer with a new DC power relay.

The concern offers this solution as a particularly efficient one adapted to electric bicycle and scooter re-charging stations, UPS – continuity units, battery management systems, elevators, industrial robots, solar/wind installations and other applications. Omron G9EJ-1-E is capable of interrupting a 15 A current at 400 VDC with consumption during commutation of just 1.2W. In order to enable interruption of high currents without damaging the contacts, it’s equipped with an exclusive high efficiency magnetic circuit for electric arc suppression; it also employs the exclusive Omron contact piloting system, which enhances resistance to peak currents and prolongs the life of the component.

Thanks to its small size (31x27x44 mm) and low weight of just 50 g, this relay represents a compact and efficient solution for high tension DC systems. Its characteristics include high isolation between contacts, 1000 megaohms and a hermetic cap. The considerable distance between contacts offers a dielectric strength of 2500 VAC, and the assembly supports enable stabilizing the device in any position. Omron G9EJ-1-E is supplied with male faston terminals that guarantee quick connection with standard connectors. It also has UL/CSA and VDE certification and can thus be used in applications destined for international markets.
