ETC Quad: special peek at new drive systems

The System Group previewed at SPS the ETC step motor drive: a recent development from its business line System Electronics, in which integration with the TwinCAT programming environment and total remote programmability enable flexible management of even the most complex applications.

Profiles can be generated autonomously by ETC Quad or managed by the network master.
The Packaging division of System SpA decided to install the drive on its most technologically advanced solution, applied in the field of secondary packaging: FREEBOXTM is an automatic system with 46 axes that creates corrugated cardboard boxes, tailored to the product and on demand.

Thanks to each ETC Quad drive, capable of managing up to 4 motors, it guarantees the highest level of precision in managing automation during all phases of production of a custom FREEBOXTM.
