Foodpack Hyper, a tray sealing machine packed with innovation

Amidst the challenges posed by the global health crisis, ILPRA has continued its R&D efforts culminating in the launch of Foodpack Hyper, a new in-line tray sealing machine.

ILPRA is presenting Foodpack Hyper, a new line of tray sealing machines designed to meet high production rates and suitable for packaging a wide range of products including fruit and vegetables, meat, dairy, fish, ready meals and much more.

The culmination of ILPRA’s more than 60 years of experience and passion in food packaging, the new line is extremely fast and capable of performing up to 25 cycles per minute in the gas/flush version.

The sealing area has been further expanded (length 1000/1250/1450 mm x 350 mm optional at 450 mm length to work on a double line). The process uses two jaws which are perfectly coordinated with the infeed conveyor to pick up the containers and transport them inside the sealing area without interrupting the flow of the trays.

All working surfaces, protective doors and the electrical panel are positioned above the machine to avoid water or liquid stagnation and are designed to allow immediate access to all areas.

Built almost entirely in stainless steel, the line also stands out for its reliability, compactness and guaranteed durability. It also performs very well in terms of operating and maintenance costs as the main movements are driven by a brushless motor and compressed air consumption is minimal.

The other main strength of Foodpack Hyper is its ease of use. The touchscreen control panel is highly intuitive and allows work recipes to be stored and retrieved rapidly. Moreover, by means of a badge assigned to the operator, the system keeps a record of information with full traceability of permitted and authorised operations according to safety levels and requirements.

The solution offers ample scope for customisation by combining various pre-existing options such as tray denesting systems, dosing, coding and labelling.
