For hot stamping (and much more)
INVESTMENTS Flexibility and high quality products: these the trump cards of the Swiss converter Läser AG has consolidated its own position on the market and entered into hot stamping. Thanks to the latest Bobst technology.
Thrust on by the need to modernize the production of folding boxes, Läser AG – one of the Swiss leaders in the packaging printing sector – has also decided to invest in hot stamping. It lately installed a Visionfoil 104, along with a Masterfold folder-gluer and an Expertcut 106 PET diecutter by Bobst, aiming at the high range of the market:«It is not by chance that many of our products are for German end users - the second generation head of the company Jürg Läser explained, backed up by Alfred Kälin, manager and technical head - and this is why they justify sizeable investments in systems capable of carrying out the most specialised work processes».
Visionfoil 104 di Bobst (1) represents a solution ideal for entering into the hot stamping sector, in that it also enables, with work changes in just a few minutes, to diecut and eliminate production waste. Thanks to a print format that reaches 1.010 x 702 mm, that integrates perfectly in the production process, generally configured for 70 x 100 formats. The print quality is very high, aboveall in terms of metal effects, reflections, shine and quality of the pressed wording. This is born witness to by the Swiss user, that cross prints, from chocolate to champagne packaging to cosmetic and food products, right up to commercial brochures: all jobs where speeds of around 5000 sheets and hour are reached. |
Masterfold and Expertcut 106. A greater flexibility in diecutting and gluing folding boxes has been achieved thanks to Masterfold (2) and Expertcut 106 PER by Bobst. Läser particularly appreciated the Speedwave GT device capable of folding and gluing perfectly, at high speed, complex boxes with automatic bases, with or without openings, windows and even irregular shapes. Masterfold can fold and glue more than 3000 different types of standard and corrugated board as well as plastics, with a flexibility, derived from the modularity of design, that opens many possibilities, derived from design modularity, that opens many possibilities. With Accubraille GT enables relief printing in Braille for example. Expertcut 106 PER, in turn, enables the achievement of a considerable progress in the accuracy of works thanks to the Power Register register control system. That enables the compensation of any register flaws. |
Quality aids. Expercut 106 PER as well as Visionfoil 104 are based on Bobst Autoplatine®: its platen with cam movement guarantees a constant and high quality, also at full rates.
At the same time, the accurate and stable translation system, requires less phases and protects the tools.
Masterfold in particular offers all the possible options in line quality control operation, and never mind the workspeed, lowering the potential for errors. Another great advantage of the Bobst solution is represent by the record machine preparation times. «For changing the material or the tools and for setting via C.U.B.E, the Swiss builder has devised numerous intelligent option that reduce preparation times down to a minimum and can make the difference in periods like these - Läser tells on these counts - with reduced print runs and last minute job changes». The belt control system, the simplicity of preparing the jobs via the belt unwinding and the MSS consol of the Visionfoil 104 (with large touchscreen for programming, saving and recalling jobs) are some examples.
