Split cable entry frames for the food sector

Specialist in the management of cables for a safe connection between machines and equipment, icotek presents KEL-ER-BL, the new split cable entry frames.

The KEL-ER-BL developed by icotek is a split cable entry frame for cables with and without connectors which, depending on the dimensions, makes it possible to insert cables with a diameter from 1 to 35 mm, sealed with IP65 safety level and time strain-relieved in accordance with the DIN EN 62444 standard.
IP65 protection is obtained through the injected seal and the use of single grommets; the cable grommets are automatically fixed in the frame during assembly. With completed assembly, the end cover is screwed on and the cable grommets are securely placed in the compartments and fixed to the frame during tightening.

More space, less bulk. The new cable entry frame fits standard cut-outs for 10-, 16- and 24- pin heavy-duty connectors. The cut-out size can reach 46 mm, therefore beyond 36 mm: this is a solution that makes it possible to pass cables with larger connectors. The KEL-ER-BL-B format is based on cut-out size 46 x 46 mm, which helps access for controllers and meters. Icotek also offers a single-row KEL-ER-BL-E version, characterised by a space-saving design, ideal for restricted spaces and cables with flat connectors (e.g., Sub-D).

Specific solutions for food (and pharma). Characterised by the signal blue colour, KEL-ER-BL is used in particular in food packaging and on processing machines in applications not in contact with the product (products in this signal colours are, however, often used also in the pharmaceutical sector). The package offered includes an additional flat blue rubber gasket.
