ItaliaImballaggio’s view of Cibus Tec 2023: CAMA Group

Strategic component of the Smart Packaging Hub, CAMA Group presented a new machine at Cibus Tec, which the Global Key Account Manager, Alessio Borgo, has talked to us about.

«Among the most recent new developments, there’s the IF 320 monoblock machine, specifically designed for the food industry, in which it is essential that the naked product and package are not subject to alterations in the different packaging phases. In the monoblock plant, in fact, formation, loading and closure operations are carried out in a single environment in which the advantages are a reduction in dimensions, compactness and the optimisation of the components (the numbers of which are reduced thanks to the monoblock concept), at the same time reducing the need for present and future maintenance.

Fewer pieces means, in fact, a smaller investment as well as savings over time, increasing competitiveness. The monoblock – which operates continuously for the forming, loading and closing of boxes of different sizes of corrugated cardboard and paperboard – is robotised, capable of a speed from 60-65 boxes per minute and is characterised by a Cobus phasing system with linear guides. We are, however, researching new solutions with automatic and semi-automatic format changes, which increasingly reduce the times of these operations ».
