More power for artificial vision

«We decided to focus our design and innovation efforts on converting about ten years ago in order to satisfy the requests of our customers», explains Luca Rettore, who together with Mirco Cremasco owns Visonlab (Asolo, TV). Both are experts in artificial vision and acutely aware of the potentials of electronics applied to process and quality control systems.

He goes on: «By studying ad hoc solutions as the challenges presented themselves, we have accrued an in-depth specialization that has enabled us to set up a dedicated business unit. The fruits of this decision have garnered the attention of the market, which has appreciated the effectiveness, reliability, versatility and ease of use of our creations». This philosophy is embodied, to give a typical example, in the Visionlab100 system for 100% print control, the first of its kind to employ LEDs, tri-linear videocameras and software equipped with self-learning functions. Soon, the concern’s personnel forecast, a second version will be available, equipped with more powerful hardware, able to work at a speed of up to 800m/min, and an innovative software that is even more efficient in detecting defects.
And this is not the only news: «Our customers - Cremasco states - are asking us to develop solutions for controlling production at all phases and under all conditions. And so in recent months we have developed diverse systems for varnish and cold-seal control, in addition to checks for the register, lamination and cutting phases, which reap the benefits of our experience, and which have been warmly welcomed by our users».
