Next-generation plate washer

LC Electra Evolution has been developed by Irac (Montecavolo di Quattro Castella, RE). This is a horizontal automatic washing machine for photopolymer plates, which integrates original systems to improve the quality of the results and reduce the operator commitment.

It was previewed at Labelexpo 2011 as an international next-generation machine, capable of setting new standards in the industry. The first real innovation is the internal washing system: the company succeded in speeding up the wash cycle (1 linear m 1.5-2 min against the previous 6-7 min), without compromising the excellent grade of final cleaning. The quality of the result, against this, is further enhanced by the use of special adjustable rotating brushes. In addition, the synergy of the two Irac washing and rinsing technologies, fully adjustable in turn, makes the LC Electra Evolution extremely versatile and accessible to all. It has been created to meet the needs of all the printers and therefore has different plate infeed formats: 440, 580, 900, 1180 and 1440 mm.  Irac has striven to offer a solid longlasting machine. For this reason, the washing tank, where the solvent circulates (a non-flammable product of the Inklean family), is made entirely from AISI 304 stainless steel instead of the less resistant PVC.  It can also be equipped with an automatic loading belt, 1500 mm long, that can also be installed subsequently.
