Along with DataMan 8500® scanners («the go-to decoding device for DPM codes» according to Carl Gerst, vice-president and manager of the concern’s industrial identification division), the new DataMan 8050 and 8050X are adapted to function, reliably and quickly, according to the many different requirements for scanning inkjet or laser marked codes in a wide variety of industrial environments (packaging, automotive, consumer goods, aerospace...).

Scanning speed Thanks to Cognex’s patented algorithms 1DMax+ with Hotbars™, the scanners can also quickly read damaged or low-contrast codes, or inkjet ones applied directly. The concern’s 2D algorithms, which lead the sector, enable the 8050 scanners to quickly decode a wide variety of 2D symbologies, including DataMatrix, QR, PDF417 and Aztec.

Modular design for integration The DataMan 8050 series is designed to be adapted to constantly evolving communication requirements. Available in wired and wireless versions, the scanners can communicate with a station via USB, USB keyboard, RS-232 and Bluetooth. Made in order to function under the most demanding work conditions, the series is rounded off by industrial wiring and accessories.
